The average score statistics are too low.
Currently the All players' averages and Winners' averages are:
Score for board A: 18.61 / 20.92
Score for board B: 6.32 / 7.19
Score for board C: 6.1 / 6.86
Score for board D: 6.25 / 7.04
For board B-D this is obviously too low, how can players be winning with 7 points on average?
I looked at another player who has fewer games than me to make it easier to look at all their games. boardgamearena.com/playerstat?id=3343&game=1918§ion=profile
At the time of writing, they have 6 games. Their averages are listed as
Score for board A: 24
Score for board B: 0
Score for board C: 0
Score for board D: 3
Score for board E: 0
Their only board D game is this: boardgamearena.com/table?table=480928783 where they got 18 points. Yet their average is incorrectly stated as 3.
Their five board A games had the scores 39, 0, 32, 33, 40. The average of this is 28.8, not 24.
Aaah, as I'm typing this out I realized what the bug is. :)
The score for a board is divided by ALL a player's games. It should instead be divided by the number of games on that particular board.
So they got 18 on board D, this is then divided by 6, their total number of games, leading to an avg. of 3. It should of course be divided by 1 instead.
Their sum of 144 for board A was divided by 6, yielding 24, when it should be divided by 5, giving 28.8.
The total player base averages are probably way lower on boards B-D since the number of games on those boards are way fewer than board A. -

So number of column points divided by played on board X.
The total points on a board is a worthless stat in my opinion.
I have no idea if there is a good way to change stats after the fact. Just remove these and add he new ones maybe.
