When a player has the Atlantis movement card, it asks them before every player's turn if they would like to activate it and move to a new location.
In turn-based games this can slow things down, with the same player having to choose either activate or pass before every other player takes their turn. Rather ironically, this is going on in two of my games simultaneously, both in which I have the Atlantis card.
Would it be possible to implement a series of check boxes for the use of such a card so it moves the game along faster? Something like a contingency protocol?
For example, several check boxes that a player could set for the program to assess and then let the player decide if they want to play it and automatically skip over times when they wouldn't want to use it:
Example:
"Let me consider using Atlantis if:
- I've been marooned
- I've been moved from one location to another
- etc, etc (other conditions I can't think of at the moment)
The player could set a few boxes here and there for them to be able to have the ability to play the card when a specific action occurs. I'm certain there will be times when players want to check each turn and consider using it, but having the option available may speed up play a bit.
As a few examples where it's implemented elsewhere, Memoir 44, Ice Cold Ice Hockey, Catan have systems set up for a few contingencies with cards.
Great implementation so far, thanks for all your hard work!
