Shield distribution
blue | purple | green | red | orange | yellow | |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Castle | 14 | 12 | 11 | 8 | 7 | 0 |
Village | 1 | 5 | 6 | 10 | 11 | 20 |
Total | 15 | 17 | 17 | 18 | 17 | 20 |
Note that blue, purple, and green shields are much more common on castle cards—blue almost exclusively so. Red, orange, and yellow shields appear more often on village cards—with yellow shields not even available at all on any castle cards. Keep that in mind when renewing the cards from one of the decks.
Tips
- Build interconnected combos within your 3×3 tableau. You can gain big points from stacking and chaining card scoring effects.
- Don't neglect keys. Having at least one key is important to avoid being forced to take cards you don't want. Additionally, each key is worth one point at the end.
- Coin bag cards combined with cards like the Banker can score over 120 points in some games. Keep an eye out for that card.

What’s a good score?
Looking at the statistics, a score above 80 is often high enough to win you the game. So, aiming for an average of at least 9 points per card may be a good target.
