  1. Select stars and arrange your star chart to complete puzzle-y patterns.10+25’2-4OVERVIEWYour goal is to fill your Star Chart with tiles while balancing the varying ways that each element of the night sky scores. Connect Constellations, build a belt of Asteroids, surround Comets, collect Planets and study them with Satellites, and avoid those pesky black holes (unless you have a perfect spot for them). Highest score wins!SETUP1Place the Observation board in the center of the table.2Place all tiles in the bag and mix thoroughly.3Place tiles for your number of players on the “Current Round” and “Next Round” rows of the Observation board. Move any Slow tiles to the right ends of their rows.Current Round TilesNext Round Tiles2 Players543 Players434 Players544Each player selects a Star Chart and takes the scoring references and standee that matches their Star Chart. In 2 player games, each player takes an additional standee.5For each scoring reference, decide together if your group is playing the front or back side. Flip that scoring reference to the chosen side and connect them to your Star Chart. All players should use the same side. For your first game, we recommend using the green sides of all references.6Gather all players’ standees and randomize the turn order by dropping the standees out of your cupped hands. Place the standees in the order they dropped, left to right on the Observation board’s turn order track.FrontBackCOMPONENTSa 95 Tiles• 50 Stars• 12 Asteroids• 8 Satellites• 9 Planets• 8 Black Holes• 8 Cometsb4 Star Chart Boardsc 25 Scoring References (5 per player)d 1 Observation Boarde4 Standeesf1 BagafbcdeBleed: 3mmBleed: 3mmBleed: 3mmBleed: 3mm

It stays for the next round.3The next round tiles slide down to the current round row.4Draw tiles from the bag to fill the “Next Round” row for your player count from left to right.Next Round Tiles2 Players43 Players34 Players45 Begin a new round.Slow TilesWhen a Slow tile (indicated by this icon) is added to the “Next Round” row, move it to the rightmost available space in the row, then continue filling the row.CONNECTING CONSTELLATIONSA constellation is formed whenever 2 or more stars are connected together by lines to form a chain of stars. The connections must be direct lines between stars. Diagonal lines that touch at the corners of tiles, but are not straight are not connected.Nova Stars are stars and can be part of constellations.GAME END AND SCORINGThe game when all players have filled the grids on their Star Charts (20 tiles). If you’d like, you can use our app to score by taking a picture of your game board.Score each element on your Star Chart grid individually, starting with Constellations, then Nova Stars, then each of the tile scoring references along the side of your star chart. Your Star Chart and the Scoring references explain how each element of the night sky scores.Total your score. Highest total score wins!If there is a tie, all tied players win.KEY CONCEPT – “BESIDE”Some scoring references want specific tiles beside them. Beside in this game means orthogonally adjacent, not diagonal. Scoring that includes diagonals will always specify that.7114Bleed: 3mmBleed: 3mmBleed: 3mmBleed: 3mm
