For the "Player must confirm the next command" part, it is better to have an option for player to select is it allow to confirm in 3 or 5 second automatically so they can watch the animating smoothy.
As for the turn-based, a selecting about auto spend shield counld be add on ui so the animating part can be skiped even a player is not online.
The ui might look like: snipboard.io/trucap.jpg (like the ui in Terra Mystica)
In the game, if a player has no shield (nothing has to decide), their turn will automatically animating and go to the next player.
If the player has shield(s), it can auto move if the player has selected.• Hvilken browser bruger du?

Another suggestion with similar motive is: Skip wait for player ready when in Turn-based mode.
It spend more time for the game with no reason.

Maybe add an option to put it on or off if you would like.

the confirmations for "Ready to program" are entirely a waste of time for non-live games.
