NekonyancerIn each round of *Yaxha,* each player will take a group of blocks from the supply and use them to construct their own personal pyramid, carefully arranging them so blocks of the same color are touching. After *10* rounds, each player's pyramid will be complete. Players score points based on how large their groups of connected blocks are. NekonyancerEach round is split into *two phases.* [blue]*Phase 1: Collecting cubes.*[/blue]---The squares at the top of the screen are called *Market Tiles.* The number of Market Tiles is always equal to the number of players. In this case, we're playing a 3-player game, so there are 3 Market Tiles.3maintitlebar_content

NekonyancerThere are 3 blocks on each Market Tile. Each player must *simultaneously* select the group of blocks they want most! In general, it's good to have many cubes of the same color... *Click on the left Market Tile!*4bonus-card-icon-6

NekonyancerWhenever a dispute between two players occurs, the player with the lower [red]*Turn Order Tile*[/red] will get the blocks on the disputed tile. The other player will have to settle for the blocks no one wanted. In this case, we have the lower number, so we'll get the disputed tile's blocks. NekonyancerThe first level of our pyramid will eventually form a *4x4* square, with 16 blocks. All the blocks we've placed so far are part of this level. On top of that, we'll build a *3x3* level, then a *2x2,* and finally a *1x1* to complete our pyramid. NekonyancerAt the end of the game, we'll score points for the largest connected group of each color, but only *visible* blocks are counted. Nekonyancer[blue]Probably the middle one![/blue] It has two teal cubes on it! We want more *teal* and *white* cubes on the *sides* of our pyramid to make large, high-scoring groups. The *blue* and *orange* cubes we've already placed might end up hidden on the *inside* of our pyramid, so getting large groups of those colors won't pay off as much. *Click on the middle Market Tile!*5bonus-card-icon-2

This can be one of the foundational blocks, or another block on the same level. First, *place the orange block above our blue one.* We're planning for this one to be hidden, so it doesn't matter that it's not adjacent to our other orange block. The game will end after the *10th.* At that point, everyone's pyramids *should* be finished, but players can sometimes end up with blocks that they [red]cannot legally place[/red] (because they wouldn't be touching any blocks of the same color). For example, the bottom card says that whoever has the largest group of teal cubes in this game will score 5 points.
